Rubbish removal in Sheldon

A single flat fee covers the labour to load your rubbish, the vehicle to transport it, and responsible disposal. We'll remove sofas, armchairs, mattresses, broken appliances, garden waste, wood offcuts, general household junk, and bags of mixed rubbish. For larger jobs, we bring a tipper or open-back vehicle; for smaller loads, a van with manual handling.

The service includes basic dismantling (for example, taking apart a flat-pack wardrobe or removing legs from a table) and clearing up loose items. If your rubbish is stacked in an awkward corner or on an upper floor, we factor in the extra labour — no hidden charges for stairs or access difficulty. We'll sweep and tidy the area once the load is cleared. What we don't cover: hazardous materials (asbestos, clinical waste), liquid waste, or buried rubble. If you have any doubt about whether an item is safe for us to handle, mention it when you book; we'll advise you honestly.

Sheldon has a mix of residential streets, some with on-street parking and resident permit schemes. If your property is on a road where we need a permit to park our vehicle, let us know at booking — we can arrange that in advance or schedule the job when permit restrictions don't apply. We're familiar with the narrow residential roads around the Sheldon area and can navigate tight junctions and low-hanging branches without fuss.

For flats and terraced houses, we check access before arrival: are there steps to the front door, a side alley, or a communal bin area we should use? Some of Sheldon's older properties have basement storage or narrow hallways that mean we'll carry items out rather than wheel them; that's factored into our quote. If you're in a gated development or have building management rules about when we can work, that's fine — just flag it. We're experienced with Sheldon's local council waste rules too: if you're unsure about what the council collects versus what needs private removal, we'll clarify that before we start.

We are a licensed waste carrier, registered with the Environment Agency and listed on the WCRS register. Every load we remove generates a waste transfer note, which documents that your rubbish has been disposed of legally — no fly-tipping, no dodgy dumps. You'll receive a copy for your records.

Our waste streams are separated by type. General household waste goes to a licensed landfill facility. Wood, cardboard, and clean metals are diverted to recycling and reprocessing; furniture in good condition is offered to local charities. If your load includes electricals (fridges, washing machines, televisions), they're processed through WEEE-compliant recyclers to recover valuable materials and prevent environmental harm. Sofas and other items with foam are handled according to POP (Persistent Organic Pollutants) rules to ensure flame-retardants are safely managed. Every item is treated with duty of care — that's the legal obligation to handle waste responsibly, and it's one we take seriously.
