When you arrange domestic or commercial waste removal, your contractor must be a licensed waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency. We hold that licence, and we issue a waste transfer note for every collection — a legal document that proves duty of care has been met. That protection matters: if waste is fly-tipped illegally, the transfer note shows it wasn't your responsibility.
Waste doesn't go to landfill by default. Recyclable materials — card, metal, glass, plastic — are sorted and sent to reprocessing plants. Furniture and wood go to specialist outlets or charity partners where they can be refurbished or recovered. Hazardous items (fridges, electricals, asbestos) follow strict disposal routes under Environment Agency rules. You receive a summary of where your waste was handled, so you know it's been managed responsibly, not dumped.
